About us

Hi !  We're Cheeky Charlie and Marvellous Molly.   

We both enjoy warm sunshine, tasty food and being active. 

We love the challenge of exploring new places on our bicycles, without too much forward planning - sometimes it's best to "just do it" !

We're just normal people, not elite athletes or hardcore campers, doing this on a modest budget. 

We'd love to make you smile with our story, and maybe even inspire you to give cycle touring a go.

Or failing that: to get started on whatever new adventure makes YOU smile.

Our two trusty mascots, potty-mouthed wide boy Paddy (above, left) and flame-haired dark horse Murphy (right), have been guiding us ever since our first overseas tour. They have brought us lots of good fortune🍀🍀, whilst accepting no responsibility for any misfortune experienced.

Backstory

Charlie had always worked hard. His life was comfortable and conventional. He enjoyed pedalling the local country lanes, and had even ridden from Lands End to John O'Groats a couple of times. He liked helping other folks with their training, eating chocolate, reading cycle blogs, daydreaming and wondering what's on the 'Bucket List'!

Molly had a stressful job, and a big fat mortgage. She spent little time doing the things that truly made her happy. But she never completely let go of them.

One day, serendipity plopped them both into the same friendly swimming pool. After a long time, Molly started riding a bicycle again. She started to daydream, too. And very slowly Incredible-Pedals started to happen.

Charlie and Molly currently spend several months of the year globetrotting on two wheels. Charlie makes Molly laugh a lot. Sometimes, this is intentional.
